A new '101' video that explains upcoming survival adventure Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has confirmed the release date for the upcoming new game from Assassin's Creed creator Patrice Désilets.

The video, which we've embedded below, confirms that the game will release first on PC on August 27, before heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 'December 2019'. It'll be an Epic Games Store exclusive for one year on PC, before being made available for other PC storefronts after that.

The video also shows off some new gameplay, in which Mr Désilets describes how you're trying to ensure the survival of not just yourself, but your entire clan. We had a lovely chat with the man last month about life after Ubisoft and starting the independent studio Panache Games who are behind this project, which you can read about here.
