Anarchy Reigns, the heavily delayed multiplayer action title from SEGA and Platinum Games, has made its Japanese debut, but sales were far from impressive, reports Andriasang.

Releasing on PS3 and Xbox 360, the brawler moved just 21,199 copies on PS3 and 4,170 copies on Xbox 360 for the week ended July 8. Ubisoft’s western targeted Ghost Recon Future Soldier on PS3 managed to sell more at 23,021 copies.

This doesn’t exactly bode well for the game’s release in Europe and the US, which is currently expected early in 2013.

Elsewhere it’s Pokemon Black and White 2 which continue to sell by the truckload, shifting a further 181,756 copies to bring the sales total to 2,217,227 copies.

Hardware sales were down across the board, with the PS Vita hit hardest, dropping almost 50 per cent to 11,544 units – remember that last week’s number was aided by the launch of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the white Vita units.
