According to Signal Hill analyst Todd Greenwald, THQ and Vigil Games’ post apocalyptic action adventure Darksiders has not lived up to internal expectations.
Greenwald said THQ “spent fairly heavily” on marketing for PS3 and Xbox 360 title, but the results have fallen below one million units.
“Darksiders didn’t perform up to THQ’s expectations, likely selling less than 1 million units despite heavy marketing dollars, 2-3 years of development costs, and was also subject to discounting just two weeks after its release,” said Greenwald.
Official sales figures haven’t been released by THQ.
