The Amazon App Store is set to launch across Europe this summer, following huge success in the US, reports MCV.

The portal will be supported in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, with further territories planned in the near future.

Developers are invited to submit apps for inclusion in the European store, and can choose which countries they wish to release their products in.

Tens of thousands of apps have already been offered via the US stores, including the ability to make in-app purchases.

One of the major pulls of the Amazon App Store in the US is its free app a day, but it’s not clear if this will make the transition to Europe.
