The Renaissance expansion for free-to-play MMO Allods Online has been launched.
The expansion includes a new feature to allow level capped players to gain extra benefits for their old character by re-rolling a new one.
According to the developer Astrum Nival: “A player’s main character becomes an Ascendant; and an all new character known as an Incarnation is born. The Incarnation inherits certain abilities from their Ascendant, and once they have achieved a high enough level, the Incarnation can even bestow certain abilities to the Ascendant.”
The update will also include new high-level Twilight Isles and the opening of a new Astral layer for space-faring players.
Astral ships will gain a 60 per cent speed boost, while map systems will be enhanced with colour coding and grid overlays to make travel more intuitive.
Additionally, Happy Hours are introduced, which provide server-wide bonuses that allow for double XP, gold, and monster loot at certain hours of the day.
Since the game’s European release, Allods Online has allowed for players to take part in same-sex marriages in the region, as well as divorce one another for a small penalty.
