Worms: A Space Oddity marks the series’ debut on the Wii and promises to merge classic Worms humour with a fresh visual style, new environmental settings, intuitive controls and more customisation options.
Motion controls will put players into the heart of the action, with attacks being launched using a range of gesture-based manoeuvres only possible on Wii.
The game will feature classic Worms game modes and re-invented single-player missions, plus multiplayer and a host of party games.
Worms: A Space Oddity also promises significant visual, technical and design advancements over its predecessors with a new visual style. Gone are the drawn environments, replaced with a distinctive style inspired by classic sci-fi.
Players can expect battles to take place across six planets, each with unique global events and environments. Worms will also be one of the first Wii games to feature online play, enabling four players to fight it out.
Worms: A Space Oddity is in development at Team 17 and is scheduled for release in spring 2008.
