All pre-orders of Darksiders II on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC will receive a complimentary upgrade to the Limited Edition, THQ has announced.
The Limited Edition includes the standard retail game, plus a code to download the game’s first single-player DLC, Argul’s Tomb, free of charge once it becomes available.
“We are delighted to be able to reward gamers who pre-order with a free upgrade to the Limited Edition version of the game,” said Jim Huntley, vice president of Global Brand Marketing.
Darksiders II will be released June 29.
This Limited Edition sounds like nothing more than the common pre-order bonus found with almost all game releases these days. Still, credit to THQ for coming up with a novel way of marketing the promotion.
