Alien: Isolation will release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on October 7, Creative Assembly has announced.

The date was confirmed during a presentation at EGX Rezzed this afternoon where the developer revealed new details on the creation of its “haunted house in space”.

Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror set between the first and second movies that sees players take on the role of Ellen Ripley’s daughter Amanda as she searches for clues as to her mother’s disappearance.

Steve went hands-on with the game earlier in the year and discovered a “truly terrifying” Alien experience “made with obvious love and care”.
