Xbox 360 and PC adventure Alan Wake might not be dead after all following a report from a Finnish website which claims that a new trailer for the game will debut before a special preview screening of the Max Payne film on October 15.

Alan Wake, developed by Finnish company Remedy Entertainment (the same developer behind Max Payne), was feared dead following its no-show at this year’s E3.

However Remedy moved to reassure fans that the psychological thriller was indeed coming out in numerous posts over at AlanWake.com. Last month Remedy CFO Mika Reini apologised for a lack of updates, saying: “I am sure you will enjoy Alan Wake when we’re done.”

And now it seems as if gamers are going to get their first tangible taste of the hotly anticipated title in years after the Finnish website Pelaajalehti last night reported that a new trailer will debut before the Finnish premier of the Max Payne movie, starring Mark Wahlberg.

Stay tuned Alan Wake fans.
