Remedy, the developer behind Max Payne, Quantum Break, and everyone’s favourite ‘I want a sequel for this’ game Alan Wake, has announced in a joint statement that it’s teaming up with 505 Games to publish its next title.

Code named ‘Project 7’, or P7, the new game is planned for release on Xbox One, PC and PS4. According to the statement it’s ‘a cinematic third person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe. Featuring an intriguing story and a game structure offering a long-lasting experience, P7 contains the deepest game mechanics yet in a Remedy game.’

The ‘new Remedy-created universe’ indicates that it’s not a sequel to Alan Wake, but that description sounds like Alan Wake fans will probably want to keep an eye on P7 as more info comes in.

505 will be providing marketing and publishing for the game. 505’s back catalogue is a mix, including a couple of previous Sniper Elite games, Payday 2, Rocket League, and then a bunch of weird favourites like Don’t Starve, Terraria, ABZU, and Virgina.
