Speaking during the company’s earnings call yesterday, Activision’s CEO and president Ronald Doornick has revealed the company’s line-up for the rest of 2005. Doornick revealed that new games will be released from the Tony Hawk, Call of Duty, X-Men Legends, True Crime, Quake, and Shrek brands. The company also plans to release games based on two brand new IPs.

Neversoft (of Tony Hawk’s fame) have a new title in development and they will also be publishing Peter Molyneux’s ‘The Movies’. The Movies has seen numerous delays, but should finally be released late this year. The secret Neversoft title is rumoured to be in development for the Xbox 2, but no details – not even a name – have been revealed.

Doornick did speak briefly about next-gen platforms: “Excitement is building around the introduction of the next-generation consoles, the first of which could launch as early as this year-end,” he said. “We can’t publicly announce our titles, but we are excited at what we see that the technology offers.”

Almost all of Activision’s titles have been rumoured to be appearing on the next Xbox, and it would make sense for their big hitters to make an early appearance on the console, with Call of Duty 2 and Quake 4 looking like perfect ports. With only two weeks until E3, we’ll find out soon enough.
