Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has confirmed the publisher plans to stand by its DJ Hero franchise, stating that they will get it right.

“… if you’re going to make a commitment to doing something original, the odds are that you’re not going to get it right on the first chance,” Kotick told GameInformer last month.

He cited the likes of Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Raven and Neversoft, all of which didn’t deliver their best products first.

“I think DJ Hero is a really innovative product. I can’t wait for you to see next year’s. That’s the thing; we’re sticking with it. We’ll stick with it and get it right,” said Kotick.
