Following the announcement of Jason West and Vince Zampella’s Respawn Studios and their publishing agreement with EA, Activision has stated none of the news comes as a surprise.
“This agreement comes as no surprise to Activision given the myriad of improper activities detailed in the cross-complaint filed on Friday against Jason West and Vince Zampella,” read the statement. “We look forward to continuing to work with Infinity Ward’s deep bench of proven talent on exciting new projects.”
The two parties remain in a legal battle surrounding the sacking of West and Zampella from their positions at Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward.
