With new game ideas pretty thin on the ground, anything that sounds remotely novel gets our attention here at Pro-G. Sony has today announced that they are bringing ‘Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer’ to the PlayStation 2. The game, developed by VIS entertainment, is an action adventure based on the mythology of Native America.

You play as ‘Brave’ as he comes of age and embarks on an epic journey to save his tribe. He must free his tribe from the evil Wendigo, but to do this he must find the only one that can free them – Spirit Dancer.

Brave must learn the skills of a fighter and a hunter if he is to find Spirit Dancer. His journey will take him across a vast world, meeting many bizarre creatures and spirits. Along his journey he will also learn ways of the Shaman, allowing him to summon spirits that will help him complete his quest.

We’ll have more on ‘Brave: The Search for Spirit Dancer’ as further information is released. The game is currently scheduled for a Summer 2005 release.
