Now this is an interesting thing. Kaze Emanuar (a celebrity when it comes to Super Mario 64 hacking) has created a romhack for Super Mario 64, which players can use to create their own levels. Rather imaginatively called Super Mario 64 Maker, it does look like quite a bit of fun.
Kaze has recommended that when creating levels you use the N64 control pad, because it’s the easiest way and provides the most intuitive feel for the games controls. Every button on the N64 controller has a use in this romhack. Keen to downplay whether anyone would actually want to play this (of course we do), Kaze nonchalantly flung out a tweet to announce its release.
noone asked for this, but its here now.https://t.co/gXLZ3nEj1d

Being the first version of the Super Mario 64 Maker, it comes riddled with bugs. Kaze suggests that you make a save every five minutes, because it’ll probably crash. Not to be, deterred there are a few folks who’ve downloaded this hack and are already sharing levels on the Kaze Community Discord channel.
As far as little fan projects go, this is quite an intuitive one on first impressions. If you’re wanting to give this a go, I recommend that you download it as soon as. It may not be long before Nintendo decide to shut it down.
