Nintendo Switch gamers in Japan who plan on purchasing a digital edition of Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Heroes I-II compilation will also be required to use a memory card because the game’s install size is too large for the system’s internal storage.
The Switch’s 32GB internal capacity – only 25.9GB available to users (revealed in last week’s dodgy Switch video) – means the 32GB download size for Dragon Quest Heroes I-II is too big for the default system. You’ll need to use an SD memory card in order to download and play the game.
It should be noted that retail games which ship on game cards do not require installation so no additional storage would be required.
IGN grabbed the download sizes for some of the Swtich’s Japanese launch games, which you can see below.
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 13.4 GB
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 7 GB
- Snipperclips: Cut it Out, Together! – 1.60 GB
- Disgaea 5 – 5.92 GB
- Puyo Puyo Tetris – 1.09 GB
- I Am Setsuna – 1.40 GB
- Dragon Quest Heroes I·II – 32 GB
- Nobunaga’s Ambition – 5 GB
