The Walking Dead Onslaught, a new tie-in to AMC's popular show, is on its way to VR platforms this autumn.

The game is being developed by Survios, a studio specialising in VR games, and the trailer has been revealed, showcasing some stylish weaponry:

The game boasts some enticing features, allowing players to assume the role of Rick Grimes, the protagonist of the TV show.

According to a press release for the game, it will feature a 'progressive dismemberment system,' which sounds delightful. On top of that, the game will supposedly feature 'the most visceral combat experience that veteran VR-studio Survios has built to date,' and will feature 'iconic melee and ranged weapons using real-motion VR mechanics – and experience the variety of their graphic end results.'

Lovely stuff.

Curiously, this isn't the first The Walking Dead VR game; last year, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners was announced, to be developed by Skydance Interactive, who made Archangel: Hellfire – due for release this year.

The Walking Dead Onslaught is due out in Autumn 2019 for as yet unspecified VR platforms.
