Sony has invited select users to participate in a closed beta for DriveClub, judging by new screenshots from the alleged test posted on NeoGAF.
The beta appears to be codenamed ‘Cupcake’, with select PS4 players seemingly invited to play test the racer ahead of this October’s release.
One screenshot also seems to offer the first look at one of the game’s previously unseen race tracks.
It isn’t clear how users have received access to the beta, although it could have something to do with Sony’s Beta Test Program, an initiative that lets select players help beta test games ahead of release.
Sony has yet to announce whether the game will receive a public beta in the run-up to launch on October 10.
