Nintendo has announced that on July 1 it will release free downloadable game trailers for upcoming 3DS titles, viewable in 3D on the 3DS handheld.

Released in two packages, each containing five trailers, the first batch available from July 1 from the eShop will feature Mario Kart, Resident Evil: Revelations, Star Fox 64 3D, Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. These clips will be removed from the store after July 20.

A second batch – release date to be announced – includes trailers for Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater and Paper Mario.

You’ll need to have installed the 3DS system update to access and view the trailers. If you haven’t done so already, simply start the “System Settings” from the Home Menu, select “Other Settings” and scroll the page right to select “System Update.” Once updated enter the newly downloaded Nintendo eShop and download the free trailers.
