Sony launched the ModNation Racers online beta earlier this week, and by all accounts it’s been a great success. European Product Manager Liam Quigley has posted on the offical European PlayStation blog to give some stats and an update on how it’s all been going.

According to Quigley, the 100,000 beta slots were taken in only seven hours. Players are already getting into the swing of uploading creations for the community to use, with over 5,500 new pieces of user-created content being added to the share station every day – a figure which includes mods, karts and race tracks.

Gamers have been testing the game’s online functionality, and so far over 100,000 races have been taken part in online. If you’re playing the beta it’s important you give your feedback on what you’ve played. You can do that on the official forum for the beta.
