EA, Epic and People Can Fly’s Duty Calls, a parody of Call of Duty, has been downloaded more than 1.25 million times, reports the official Bulletstorm Twitter.
The parody was launched last week.
The free game download has been created to promote upcoming over-the-top shooter Bulletstorm, and offers around five minutes of parody-filled gameplay. Once you complete the game you’ll be shown a promo piece on the Epic Games FPS.
Bulletstorm will be released on February 25 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
The marketing bods at EA and Epic will be over the moon with the response to its promotional tool – getting Bulletstorm in front of over one million hardcore gamers is a huge success.
