Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has announced that the 120GB and 250GB PS3 consoles will cease to be made available in Japan, to be replaced by new 160GB and 320GB versions.

July 29 will see the release of Charcoal Black 160GB and 320GB PS3 consoles, plus a Classic White 160GB model. The white console will be supported by a white stand and white DualShock 3.

The new consoles are currently only confirmed for release in Japan, but we’ve contacted Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for news on a European release.
