On the 16th September, during the industry-only day of the Tokyo Game Show (the two days that follow are open to anyone) two of the gaming industry’s big guns will deliver keynote speeches.
Iwata, Nintendo’s president, will speak at the show despite the company having no other presence there. Nintendo choose to show their games at their own Spaceworld event or at various consumer events. It isn’t known if a Spaceworld event is taking place this year and will clearly depend on how much information Nintendo are ready to reveal about the Revolution.
Microsoft’s Robbie Back will also deliver a keynote, obviously focusing on the company’s new console due just two months after the show. If no Japanese release date has been announced before the show, expect final launch details to be revealed during his speech.
The Tokyo Game Show runs from September 16-19 and should be a pretty exciting event, with Microsoft and Sony keen to impress with their new consoles, and Nintendo possibly throwing a spanner into the works.
