- Gather at the Blackhowl Plains
- Hunt wolves and collect their tails
- Deliver the wolf tails to the nearby camps across the plains
When you want to gain some extra experience in Throne and Liberty, nothing beats participating in local events. If you happen to be in the Blackhowl Plains, you can participate in an event called the Wolf Hunting Contest.
In this event, you must hunt down wolves, gathering their tails so you can bring them to the nearby camps. If you manage to get the most tails, you get ranked first and get a special reward. Let’s break down the Wolf Hunting Contest.
Wolf Hunting Contest event location
The Wolf Hunting Contest is a timed event that happens on a set schedule in the Blackhowl Plains. This location is to the north of Kastleton and is easy to reach by following the roads that lead north from the city. You can check when the event is going on by selecting the Blackhowl Plains on the map. If the event is happening soon, it will appear in the Blackhowl Plains information panel that appears.
How to complete the Wolf Hunting Contest
When the Wolf Hunting Contest is about to begin, an announcer will go over the rules. The event is fairly simple. All you need to do is fight wolves. Upon defeat, each wolf in the plains will drop a number of tails for you to collect. They typically drop one but we have seen as many as four drop at one time. You’ll be looking for Blackhowl Wolves, Brutal Wolves, Shrewd Wolves, and Fierce Wolves. Each of these wolf types will drop tails but only during the event.
You’ll see the number of tails you have collected appear on the right side of your screen. Throughout the event, you will need to bring the tails to the different camps around the plains. These camps are marked with a blue marker that resembles a shield/banner. When you arrive at a camp, interact with the boxes in the area to deposit the tails you have collected.
You will have 20 minutes to complete the event. After 10 minutes pass, one of the camps will shut down. As it gets closer to completion, more camps will shut down. Because of this, you’ll want to make sure to make periodic trips to a camp to drop off your tails. If you don’t, you may end up missing out on your rewards. When the event is over, you’ll receive a reward based on how well you performed during the contest.
