- Shoot powerful magic from afar to keep enemies at bay
- Use poison to damage enemies over time
- Chain poison and magic together to weaken and destroy foes
Throne and Liberty offers many different weapons to use for your builds. Those who want to get up close and personal with enemies before blasting them from afar with powerful magic will want to go for a staff and dagger build.
Combining these weapons together can amazing but you need to know what skills to select to make it as strong as possible. Let’s break down this staff and dagger build.
Our staff and dagger build
For this build, you will need the staff in your main hand and the daggers in your off-hand. As far as stats are concerned, focus mostly on dexterity and wisdom as this will increase your damage the most and raise your mana, which will be needed for casting your spells and using skills. Make sure to also put points into perception to raise your hit chance.
For your defence skill, you’ll want to go with Block Blade. This is because it will guarantee that you are hidden and grant you mana regen when you defend successfully. This will come in handy when dealing with multiple foes.

Mastery
When it comes to weapon mastery for this build, you want to focus on the destroy path for the staff. This branch of the mastery tree increases your magic hit chance, base damage, and mana regen. Since you’ll be using a lot of spells, you’ll want to always keep your mana regen high.
With the daggers, focus on the Assassination branch of the mastery tree. This increases your melee critical hit chance, base damage, and skill damage. This also decreases the cooldown of your skills, allowing you to use them more often.
Best weapons and armour
Weapon or armour | Effects |
---|---|
Toublek’s Thunderous Soul | Increases magic hit chance, magic heavy attack chance, and critical hit chance |
Lequirus’ Thorny Edge | Increases melee hit chance, melee critical hit chance, and melee heavy attack chance |
Transcendent One Set | Decreases cooldown of skills |
Death Set | Increases critical damage |
When it comes to the armour for this build, you want to use two pieces of the Transcendent One Set and two pieces of the Death Set. This way, you gain a slight benefit from both sets, increasing your capabilities with this build.
How to run staff and dagger build
Like many builds in Throne and Liberty, you can play this build casually by using random attacks in any order. While this is possible, the build does benefit from certain attacks being used in the correct order. This increases your damage output and allows you to deal with greater threats more effectively.
When using this build, start with the inject venom skill. This will apply poison to all of your attacks and give you bonuses thanks to your passives. After this, use serial fire bombs and inferno wave to deal large amounts of damage and inflict burning. Each stack of burning that you get from the combination of these two attacks will increase the damage of chain lightning. Use chain lightning last to deal a massive amount of damage and finish your target off. This is similar to how you would need to run the dagger and crossbow build, another potent build option.
