Once you’ve completed The Scavenger expert intel quest line, you’ll gain access to Temmin Wexley’s abilities. Among them is the Survivor skill, which has a curious unlock condition: find the stranded merchant on Akiva. There are no clues or map markers to go on leaving you to scour the jungle planet for the elusive merchant.
To save you some hassle, we’ll walk you through where to find the stranded merchant. While you’re on Akiva, it’s also worth gathering up all the Nix Treasures and Holodramas there if you’re aiming for 100% completion.

Where is the stranded merchant on Akiva
You’ll find the stranded merchant below the huge shipwreck in The Cauldron at the centre of The Great Basin region in the west of Akiva. It’s the island in the middle of the lake. You’ll want to approach from the west where you’ll find a small channel that cuts into the centre of the island (check the second map in the gallery above for the exact location), leading you to lower ground where you can hop off your speeder and walk around.
The merchant, who is called Namda Eaakee, has set up shop just ahead not far from a large yellow door leading into a part of the crashed ship. He’s hard to miss. To tick off the Survivor unlock requirement, interact with Namda, then have a quick browse of his Requests, then exit the shop. This will get the requirement to pop in the The Scavenger Abilities menu.

How to unlock the Survivor ability
Once you’ve tracked down the merchant, you’ll need to tick off the other unlock condition: defeat three death troopers in a row. While you can do this at various Imperial facilities on Akiva or even elsewhere, there’s a consistent way to get them to spawn down in Excavation Site 12, which is just south of The Cauldron and the merchant.

Approach from the east and you’ll find a beach where you can hop off your speeder. Climb the wall ahead and press on down the path until you come to a ledge above the Imperial compound. On your left, you’ll see a large landing pad. From here, you want to aggro the enemies so you become Wanted and they call for backup. Shortly after a transport ship will land, dropping off two death troopers.
You can tell death troopers apart because they wear distinctive black armor sets as opposed to the white of the standard storm troopers.

Defeat the first two troopers, then wait for a second ship to arrive (you may need to re-aggro to get the guards to call for backup again), and take out a third. This should tick off the unlock condition. Head back to The Scavenger abilities menu, select the Survivor skill, then hold down X to unlock on PS5, or Spacebar on PC, giving you a boost to Kay’s maximum health.
