If you’ve sorted the Mintha perfume and the bathhouse wench, all you need now to prepare for Kreyzl’s sketchy plan to seduce the chamberlain at the wedding party is a dress for the companion. As with most things in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, getting the dress is a little tricky unless you’ve got cash to throw around and requires some creative problem solving.

While there’s the option to visit the tailor in Troskowitz and buy the Tyrol brocade cotehardie dress for the hefty sum of 272.1 groschen, you can also steal it if your finances don’t stretch that. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to steal the dress for the companion in the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Opus Magnum side quest.

Where to find the dress for the companion in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To steal the dress for the companion, you’ll first need to find the tailor Bartoshek’s shop in Troskowitz. It’s located on the eastern side of the village in a large compound. The shop is on the right as you enter. Check the image above for the exact location.

Once you’re in the shop, you’ll see a red piece of fabric on the main counter to the right as you enter the shop. This is the Tyrol brocade cotehardie. It’s next to several hats and other pieces of clothing. Bartoshek sticks to the shop for most of the day, which makes it hard to steal without raising the alarm. Similarly, at night the front door to the shop is shut tight and getting it open involves lockpicking a hard difficulty lock.

To get the dress, head to the shop but don’t enter. Instead, call Mutt to heel just outside of the shop then command Mutt to bark (you can unlock this by learning the Bark! Houndmaster perk) to draw out the tailor. When he’s distracted, head inside and steal the dress, then get out as quickly as you can and leave the area. There’s a good chance your thievery will be detected and the guards will likely search for you. Make your way out of the village and you should be fine.

You can now bring the dress along with the perfume to the companion at the bathhouse in Zhelejov to continue on with the Opus Magnum side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
