Although Clash Royale is mostly known for its classic 1v1 battles, it also has an exciting 2v2 game mode option available to players that want to experience a cooperative match type in the game.

Although this two-team mode has been available for a while now, plenty of users are still unclear as to how to access it. Luckily, we’re here to provide all the information that you’ll need on how to play 2v2 in Clash Royale.

How to Play 2v2 matches in Clash Royale

You can play 2v2 matches by heading to the Party tab from the game’s main menu. Then, you can scroll down to the category that says 2v2 battle. The game will then give you two matchmaking options to choose from: Quick Play and Play with Friend. The former will pair you up with a random online player while the latter allows you to choose who you want to play with from your clan or friends list.

2v2 battles are incredibly convenient as players won’t need to put Trophies up even as it provides typical rewards to the winners, such as Chests and Gold. There are also two King’s Towers in this game mode that features two cannons and 20% more health as well. On the other hand, the Princess Towers remain the same with one appearing on either side of the map.

The two players involved in each team use separate decks, however, teammates will be able to see each other’s hands during the game. Both members will also be able to see which card their partner is hovering over allowing them to create coordinated attacks.
