The Electric Eel is a Deviant in Once Human that allows players to empower electricity production in their base. Because you can allow place four power generators in your base (unless you unlock the expansion memetic), the Deviant is extremely useful as your base expands with turrets, smelters, refrigerators, ovens, and more with your power needs increasing to boot. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the Electric Eel Deviant in Once Human.
Where to find Electric Eels in Once Human
To get the Electric Eel, you’ll need to fish bodies of water. The Eel is a random possible drop from caught fish. Players can further increase their luck by attaching either dough bait or tadpoles to their fishing rods. The chance also increases by fishing in higher-level areas like Red Sands or the Chalk Peak regions. When you have your Electric Eel from fishing, you can now take it back to your base and place it in an Incubation Chamber and it seek out the power supplies in your base and increase their effectiveness.
Electric Eel Mood
Like all Deviants, the Electric Eel has Mood modifiers that will increase its productivity. If you want to increase its mood, you can do the following:
Mood Modifiers | Requirements |
---|---|
Music | Place a radio near the Electric Eel’s Incubation Chamber. |
High Temperature | Place the Incubation Chamber near Smelters, either electric or standard. This provides a high-temperature buff. |
Blue Light | Place the blue colour light from the basic decoration tab in the building menu above the Electric Eel’s chamber |
For each Mood modifier you satisfy, will increase the Mood recovery rate. You can then spend the Mood to power the Deviant, which will help produce its output over time. It’s worth placing up to four tanks around these locations to boost your power for each power source in your base. The base amount is four, hence the ideal amount of four Electric Eels. Once you can get better power units or power expansion you’ll need less Electric Eels.
