As you hunt down the Nameless Killer bounty in the west of Teshio Ridge, you’ll stumble onto the Ghost of Yotei Snow’s Blight Shrine puzzle. It’s similar to the Snow Drift Springs Shrine and the Closed-Building puzzles in that it features a set of fox statues.

If you’ve uncovered the Nine Tails cipher as part of the Kitsune main story quests, you’ll have an idea of what needs doing here. Here’s how to solve Ghost of Yotei Snow’s Blight Shrine puzzle and find the Nameless Killer bounty.

Ghost of Yotei Snow’s Blight Shrine puzzle solution

The Ghost of Yotei Snow’s Blight Shrine puzzle actually consists of two puzzles. We’ll start with the one on the right as you enter. Note the four fox statues; above each one is a carving in the rock. You’ll need to move the foxes so that they match the direction of those on the wall, as follows:

  • Far left – facing left
  • Middle left – facing forward
  • Middle right – facing right
  • Far right – facing backwards.

Grab the fox at the center and slot it on the right-hand pedestal near the door at the back of the shrine.

Now for the second Ghost of Yotei Snow’s Blight Shrine puzzle on the left. Note the four lanterns and lit hanging braziers above some of them. To solve the puzzle, you’ll need to light the lanterns below these. Starting from the left, light the first and third lanterns. Grab the statue at the center and place it on the left-hand pedestal by the door.

Crawl through the now-open passage on the right of the door. Follow the cave path until you come to two fox statues. Turn them inward so that they are facing each other and match the two fox statues in the distance. Doing so unwinds a rope you can walk across to the next platform. Turn the next statue so that it’s facing left to unwind more ropes to reach the end of the chamber.
