The Ghost of Yotei Reliquary riddle solutions can be a tough nut to crack, given their cryptic nature. You’ll find these plinths surrounded by statues spread across Ezo; one in each major region. They are well worth doing as they unlock Charms, weapon skins, and other neat cosmetics.
To save you from spending hours trying to find all the Ghost of Yotei Reliquary riddle solutions, we’ve compiled them all here. We’ve also pinpointed the location of each Reliqaury in case you’re having trouble tracking them down, as some are very well hidden.
Ghost of Yotei Reliquary of Courage riddle solution

- Location: The Reliquary of Courage is located in the east of the Jade Grove in the Yotei Grasslands region. The spot is among the bamboo groves on the western bank of the Sarubestu River, west of Yotei’s Shadow Inn and southwest of the Crow’s Nest Watchtower.
- Reward: Charm of Mount Yotei, which reduces all damage taken by a minor amount.
The riddle reads: “A boy was lost and alone. But wolves came from every corner to guide him. Their eyes gazing at the true Mount Yotei.”
Four wolf statues are positioned to the north, south, east, and west of the reliquary. Turn each one in turn so that the wolf on each one faces Mount Yotei off to the east. Doing so will unlock the central statue, where you can claim your Ghost of Yotei Reliquary reward.

- Location: The Reliquary of Strength is located in the southeast of Ishikari Plain, west of Ishikari Fork, north of Iwami Village, and southeast of the Bear Rock Hot Spring.
- Reward: Upgrade for the Charm of Mount Yotei and Yotei’s Shelter Hat.
The riddle reads: “The mountain raised the boy as her own. Demons looked away from their fear. But the wolf watched them both, ready to provide aid.”
There are three statues of demons and one of a wolf. To solve the puzzle, turn all the demon heads so that they are facing away from the rock on the reliquary. Then, turn the wolf statue so that it’s facing the rock. Turning a statue will also turn one of the others, so there’s a bit of a puzzle here, but it’s nothing too taxing, and it should be easy enough to solve.

- Location: The Reliquary of Resilience is found in the south of Ohara Plains in the southwest of Tokachi Range, up the mountain just south of Traveller’s Rest, and southeast of the Prospector’s Camp.
- Reward: Upgrade for the Charm of Mount Yotei and Yotei’s Charge Wolf Blade skin.
The riddle reads: “With the caverns of Mount Yotei, a lost boy surrendered to a tired sleep. The wolves stood guard, looking toward the mountain.”
Four wolf statues surround the reliquary, facing outward. To solve the puzzle, turn them so that they all face towards the mountain rock on the reliquary. Like the Reliquary of Strength, interacting with a statue will also cause the one to its right to turn. But, to complicate matters, some only make quarter turns while others make half turns. Focus on getting the two on the left to face the same way and then turn the one closest to the riddle inscription to get them to face inward. From there, the other two are much easier to align to solve this Ghost of Yotei reliquary riddle.

- Location: The Reliquary of Compassion is found in the very far northwest of Teshio Ridge. To reach it, you’ll need to climb up the Chilled Peak Shrine. After reaching an iced-over pond, head south to find a path leading up to the Reliquary.
- Reward: Upgrade for the Charm of Mount Yotei and Yotei’s Mercy Mask.
The riddle reads: “The mountain took pity on the boy with no home and lit her fire to keep the boy warm. The wolves gathered around eyes on the mountain’s hearth”.
To solve the Reliquary of Compassion, first use fire arrows to light the brazier at the foot of each of the four statues. If you’re short on arrows, grab some from the quill by the squeeze spot. Per the riddle, the goal here is to get all four wolf statues to face towards the mountain on the plinth at the center of the Reliquary. As with precious ones, interacting with a statue will turn it and the one to the right of it. Start with the one on the right of the inscription, then move counter-clockwise, shifting the statues as required.

- Location: The Reliquary of Fait is located in the north of Oshima Coast. From the Oshima Coast Entrance, head east following the border of the map, and you’ll spot a path leading north. Follow it to reach the reliquary.
- Reward: Upgrade for the Charm of Mount Yotei and Yotei’s Blessing Mercenary Attire skin.
The riddle reads: “The boy-made-man crafted blessings of his own so others born under Moun Yotei will look to the true mountain for strength.”
This reliquary consists of four statues: three on the cliff’s edge and another on a rock you can’t access. The goal here is to turn all four statues so that they face Mount Yotei to the north. Once again, turning a statue turns others as well.
Start by getting the statue on the rock and the central one to face towards the mountain, and then do the same for the outer statues. With a bit of trial and error, you shouldn’t have any trouble getting them all to face Mount Yotei. Completing the last Ghost of Yotei Reliquary will unlock the Child of the Mountain trophy.
