The Ghost of Yotei A Flower for Your Thoughts quest involves hunting flowers along the trail of the Amber Respite Shrine in the southwest area of Tokachi Range. A note asks that Atsu leave her regrets in the form of blue flowers in a basket found at the foot of the climb.
While you can scour the climb up to the shrine for the flowers, you’ll likely struggle to find them; they are, in fact, beyond the shrine in a small area that’s easy to miss. We’ll guide you through completing the Ghost of Yotei A Flower for Your Thoughts quest and locating all three flower locations.
How to start the Ghost of Yotei A Flower for Your Thoughts quest
To start the A Flower for Your Thoughts quest, head to the foot of the Amber Respite Shrine. Before the path banks upwards, you’ll see a note attached to a post. Interact with it to trigger the quest. From there, make your way up the mountain, parkouring as needed, until you reach the shrine. If you haven’t already, bow at the altar to complete the shrine and score a new charm.
Where to find the A Flower for Your Thoughts flower locations
Skid down the slope to the left of the shrine to reach a hidden lake that runs into the massive waterfall that you saw at the foot of the Amber Respite Shrine path. Here’s where you’ll find each one of the three flowers to complete the Ghost of Yotei A Flower for Your Thoughts quest (refer to the image gallery above for their exact locations on the map).
- The first flower is on a beach on the southwestern side of the lake near the small waterfall.
- The second is to the east of the lake, where the water flows into the larger, lower waterfall.
- The third flower is on the edge of a cliff in the northeastern tip of the lake, beyond a small forest and near a mural of a soldier fighting a fire beast.
Once you’ve gathered up all three, make your way back down to the entrance of the shrine (you can fast travel or dive off a plank into the pond below the lake) and deposit the flowers in the basket. There’s now a man playing a flute next to the note. After a bit of dialogue, you’ll complete the Ghost of Yotei A Flower for Your Thoughts quest and earn yourself the Charm of Lingering Affliction for the trouble.
