Looking for all the weapons in DOOM The Dark Ages? Ploughing your way through hordes of gurning demons is going to take some firepower. Fortunately, DOOM The Dark Ages is well served in high–powered weaponry with returning series mainstays and a few choice newcomers that introduce novel ways to rip and tear through flesh.
You’ll unlock these progressively as you play through the campaign. Note that a few do come in quite late on in the story. Once you’ve unlocked them, you can hop back into previously completed chapters and they’ll be available to use. Once you’ve fully upgraded a weapon, you’ll unlock a Mastery Challenge, which typically involves killing a set number of demons in a defined fashion. In this guide, we’ll walk you through a full list of all weapons in DOOM The Dark Ages.
DOOM The Dark Ages guns list
In total, DOOM The Dark Ages features 12 guns, as follows:
Weapon | Description |
---|---|
Combat Shotgun | The DOOM Slayer’s weapon of choice, this is a single-shot weapon reinforced by arcane Sentinel technology. |
Super Shotgun | A souped-up variant of the Super Shotgun, this dual-barrel shotgun fires off ammo made from the fossilized remains of ancient beasts. |
Shredder | A fully-automatic Sentinel gun that unleashes razor-sharp steel bolts. |
Impaler | A semi-automatic rifle that’s DOOM The Dark Ages spin on the trusty precision sniper rifle with a slow rate of fire. It fires massive spikes that can pierce armor and deal significant headshot bonus damage. |
Accelerator | A collaboration between Sentinel and Maykr technology, this high fire rate rifle shoots super-heated plasma ballistic rounds that explode on impact. |
Cycler | The sister weapon to the Accelerator, the Cycler pummels demons with two crystal-plasma spikes simultaneously. |
Pulverizer | The creation of a corrupted Sentinel engineer, the Pulverizer fires off volleys of crushed demonic skulls in a wide arc, damaging multiple demons at once. |
Ravager | A variant of the Pulverizer, the Ravager also fires demonic skulls but in a tighter spread. Its fire rate ramps over time as it shoots, allowing for massive damage at the cost of movement speed. Performs best at close range. |
Chainshot | Born from forgotten realms, the Chainshot fires off a dense, spherical core that deals damage on impact before retracting. Can be charged to increase damage, range, and speed. |
Grenade Launcher | True to its name, this weapon fires off an arcing projectile that bounces then detonates, dealing high direct hit and explosive damage. |
Rocket Launcher | It fires slow projectiles that explode and deal heavy on damage on impact. It’s explosions can damage the DOOM Slayer as well as nearby demons. |
Ballistic Force Crossbow | A crossbow of incredible power but extremely limited ammo that can pierce through all and any any defense, it fires the Eldritch Lance, a bolt that radiates with other wordly-power. |
DOOM The Dark Ages melee weapons list
There are 3 melee weapons in DOOM The Dark Ages:
Weapon | Description |
---|---|
Power Gauntlet | A powerful glove embedded with iron conduits that channel raw Sentinel energy into arcs of lighting with each strike. Focused on single-target damage, it’s power increases with each hit of its three-hit combo. It has the shortest recharge time among melee weapons. |
Flail | Forged from Ethrion steel, the flail is made of unbreakable chain links and its head is imbued with an Inferno Core and runes. Generates a damaging blast on impact for each of its three-hit combos that affects nearby enemies, making it effective against multiple demons. It has a medium length recharge time. |
Dreadmace | A single-charge Sentinel weapon that deals massive damage to a single target and any nearby enemies, the Dreadmace is a blunt damage weapon that’s infinitely dense and roiling with energy beneath its surface. Refills all your guns to full ammo capacity on hit but only has a single charge and a slow recharge time. |
It’s also worth mentioning the Shield Saw. It works as both a defensive shield and offensive weapon. It can block and parry attacks but also carve weaker enemies in half, destroy shield-bearing enemies, and lodge into larger enemies to stun them.
