Disney’s new trading card game Lorcana has made a huge splash in the space. With the recent release of Chapter 1, players, stores and collectors alike are flocking to get their hands on the new product as quickly as possible. While the hype is at it’s peak, new information has come out about Disney Lorcana Chapter 2 and we’re going to cover everything we know so far about the set in this guide.

With that, let’s get into the new information about Disney Lorcana Chapter 2!
Disney Lorcana Chapter 2 – Set information and release date
The official name for the upcoming Disney Lorcana set is called Rise of the Floodborn! The set will release with more than 200 new cards with brand new artwork, and include some fan favorite stories, including:
- The Princess and the Frog
- Winnie the Pooh
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
- Pinocchio
- Zootopia
- The Great Mouse Detective
- The Jungle Book
- Raya and the Last Dragon
The set will release with the following products:
- Booster box
- Two Starter decks (“Amber / Sapphire – Queen Grimhilde and Gaston” and “Amethyst / Steel – Merlin and Tiana”)
- Deck boxes
- Card sleeves
- Playmats
The set is due to release in local game stores on November 17, 2023. A wider, big box store release will happen two weeks later on December 1, 2023. This wider release will also be the release of a Disney100 collectors edition set, which includes six cards from Chapter One and Rise of the Floodborn and four booster packs from set 2. Disney Lorcana Chapter 2 – New keywords
Rise of the Floodborn is introducing a brand new keyword mechanic to the game – Resist. Resist is an ability that reduces the amount of damage a Character card will take from any source. There is a number next to the Resist keyword which indicates how much less damage the Character will take.
For example, Cinderella, Stouthearted has Resist 2. This means that whenever she is dealt damage, that damage is reduced by two. There are many other cards in the set that have this keyword as well.
