Players are frantically trying to hit Destiny’s level cap, grinding their way through the different modes in order to grab better weapons and armour to take on higher level missions. VideoGamer has put together some quick tips on how to level up your character faster and become a Guardian ready to take on the best of the best.

Bounties

Bounties are a great way to level up fast. Most don’t have a time limit for them to be completed, so take on as many bounties as possible and keep plugging away until they’re completed.

The rewards can offer thousands of XP, leading to rapid levelling up in no time. If you head out on the Patrol missions, you can just work your way through the enemies littered across the terrain and you’ll have completed bounties in no time at all.

There are two types of bounty: Crucible and Vanguard (which focuses on the game’s story missions). Vanguard bounties take longer to complete, but are easily done. Crucible bounties, at least at the lower levels, are very easy and offer very high XP rewards. The main reason Crucible bounties are preferable is because they don’t require you to win matches. Many of them simply ask that you complete a certain number of matches, or kill ‘x’ number of players.

Many of the early bounties also don’t cost any Glimmer (Destiny’s in-game currency), so this is more than worth your time if you want to level up fast.

Speak to Xander 99-40 to collect bounties, then speak to him again once you’ve completed them to collect your reward.
