Taking on Sub Order 109 and bringing proof of the Headless Riders to The Ghost Hunter will unlock Sub Order 110. In this one, The Ghost Hunter will task Sam with uncovering the identity of the Headless Riders and wipe them out to make the area safe for porters and preppers alike.

However, if you make your way over to the spot pinpointed by the order, there doesn’t seem to be much there other than a barren coastline, a few rusty vehicles, and definitely no Headless Riders wreaking havoc. To get them to appear, you’ll need one important piece of kit and a specific time of day. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to find the Headless Riders and complete Sub Order 110 in Death Stranding 2.

How to summon the Headless Riders in Death Stranding 2

To find the Headless Riders, you’ll need to visit at night while riding a Tri-Cruiser. Per the Order summary in the Orders portion of the Ring Menu, the Headless Riders have been attacking porters who ride Tri-Cruisers at night. If you hang around the quest location long enough, your friendly puppet Pal will come to the same conclusion after a while.

Stock up on weapons and blood bags then head over to the location marked on the map northwest of East Fort Knot onboard a Tri-Cruiser and rest/wait until nighttime. Grenades work particularly well against the riders as do shotguns if you can get up close. The area is bathed in pretty much perpetual Timefall so bring along a PCC to build a Timefall Shelter.

Defeat the leader to wipe out the Headless Riders. Captured by VideoGamer

Ride up to the Auto-Paver by the water’s edge, which will be glowing red instead of the normal blue, to trigger a cut scene. You’ll end up on a track in the sky. The aim here is to defeat the Headless Riders bike gang. Destroy the first handful of bikes that appear to spawn the leader, who is distinguishable by the blue light on their bike. Take out the leader to defeat the Headless Riders.

Sit through the short cut scene that follows. When you regain control of Sam, head back to The Ghost Hunter’s shelter. Report the order and The Ghost Hunter will agree to join the Chiral Network. You’ll also receive the Black Drift song Music Data, a Material Allotment increase, the Porter Suit: Woodland color scheme, the Rocket Box [MP] rocket launcher, and a +35 APAS Enhancement Memory Upgrade.
