After you’ve saved the mysterious women from the cocoon during Order 022 in Episode 6 Chrysalis, Rainy will start to teach Tomorrow to help her acclimatise to life onboard the DHV Magellan and in the wider world of the living. Rainy will occasionally call on Sam to answer the odd question in preparation when you stop off for a rest onboard the tar-diving ship.

Death Stranding 2 Nightmare question solution
After the third question from Rainy, rest in the Private Room onboard the DHV Magellan a few times and you’ll get a short cut scene where Tomorrow will ask you ‘a nightmare question’. You’ll need to choose between Tomorrow, Higgs, Rainy, and Fragile. All you have to go on is ‘Only one may you choose. Choose well.’ The choice doesn’t have any lasting consequences and there’s no right or wrong answer with missable rewards. It has no impact whatsoever. Whichever one you go for, Sam will suddenly wake up from a nightmare with the old ‘it was just a dream trope’ at play.
