Wondering how to turn on the Odradek Light in Death Stranding 2 On The Beach? As the sun disappears and darkness takes hold, it can be challenging to make sense of the environment in Death Stranding 2. Treacherous ridges, rushing torrents, and sheer cliffs are very real dangers in the dark of night. One false step and Sam will tumble, damaging your precious cargo and deliveries.
While you can tweak the game’s brightness to see better, Sam also has a light emitting device built into his tool kit that you can pull out at any time to light the way. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to use the Odradek light in Death Stranding 2.
How to use the flashlight in Death Stranding 2
To use the Odradek Light in Death Stranding 2, hold down the left d-pad button to bring up the Fieldwear radial menu. Point the right thumbstick to the bottom-left to highlight the Shoulder/Hip section. Cycle through to the Odradek Light (it should be the only option early on) and tap X to turn the light on. You’ll automatically exit the menu and the Odradek will coil out of Sam’s suit and illuminate the ground wherever you’re pointing the camera.
Once you’ve done this once, you can then simply tap the left d-pad button to turn on or turn off the Odradek Light quickly. The only real downside to using the Odradek Light is that having it turned on has the potential to attract enemy attention, namely from bandits. Use it sparingly in bandit-controlled areas.
