Wondering what the Death Stranding 2 Licky Stick is used for? If you’re persistent and deliver enough orders to unlock a 4 star Connection Level with The Musician in Australia, he’ll reward you with the Licky Stick. Odd naming aside, it’s a curious little item that doesn’t come with much in the shape of an explanation.

It will turn up in your Private Room onboard the DHV Magellan, sitting next to the Cryptobiotes and Chiral Tea cans, but there doesn’t appear to be a way to interact with it or use it. In this guide, we’ll explain what the Licky Stick is in Death Stranding 2.

What is the Licky Stick for in Death Stranding 2?

The Licky Stick isn’t used for anything and has no functional purpose other than as a decorative memento to commemorate your connection with The Musician. It’s a neburi stick, the Japanese word for chopsticks. Other than appearing in your Private Room, it can’t be interacted with or used for anything.

Not long after Gen Hoshino The Musician gives you the Licky Stick, he’ll send a message on the Social Strand Service explaining that it’s a special gift he gives to listeners to his radio show. He goes on to explain that it’s not meant to be ‘used’ and is instead a reminder of your connection for safekeeping.

It’s one of several items you’ll come across in Death Stranding 2 that aren’t actually used for anything and merely act as symbols of Sam’s hard work to deliver cargo and orders to the inhabitants of Mexico and Australia.
