Like in all shooters worth their salt, Delta Force Hawk Ops features a stacked arsenal of weapons and a wealth of attachments to choose from before diving into the thick of battle. You’ll find you’re usual spread of assault rifles, SMGs, sniper rifles, and plenty in between to suit all playstyles and preferences. But, as always, some are simply better than others. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the best guns in Delta Force Hawk Ops.
The best weapons to use in Delta Force Hawk Ops
Determining the best weapon to pick up and use is often a matter of personal preference and playstyle. With that said, often some weapons will rise to the top over others, especially across different categories. We’ve listed some of our favourites while playing the game and will explain why that is in the following paragraphs.
AKS-74 – best close-range AR
The AKS-74 is a powerful gun in the early game. This weapon is incredibly strong at close to medium range. You get some power at range while also being a very strong weapon in close quarters. It’s the type of weapon that shines when you’re fighting Support Operators in close quarters who use strong SMGs.

AK 12 – Best high-damage weapon
The AK 12 dishes out strong armour penetration, impressive damage-per-round, and a reliably high fire rate. The major downside is the weapon’s sway at range, but by using attachments that offer stability and control, you can make your mid to long-range damage much easier to control when spraying. You’ll find this is a strong weapon with the upgraded armor rounds in both Tactical Turmoil and Havoc Warfare modes.

M4A1 – Best overall
The M4A1 is our pick for the best overall weapon in Delta Force Hawk Ops. It boasts reliable accuracy, has a good rate of fire, and strong damage at range as well as solid stability and recoil control. With the right barrel and rail modifiers, the M4 can be adapted with modifiers to hone the gun perfectly to your specific playstyle or the needs of map or mode. This is the type of weapon you may want to chuck your weapon XP tokens on and power level to unlock all the premium attachments.
You’ll find the gun works amazingly below 40 meters. At 50 your stability wobbles slightly, but holding your breath keeps your aim on target. At 100 meters, you need to use your breath to stabilise and tap your rounds two to three at a time to take on targets effectively. Your stability and low recoil will suffer against targets at range. But realistically you’ll be fighting enemies at a maximum of 80 meters, which the M4 can handle.

SCAR-H – Best Engineer and Support AR
If you’re looking for an assault rifle to run on your Engineer and Support characters, then the SCAR-H is a top pick. It’s very powerful with a high damage profile but a low fire rate and starter magazine capacity make it somewhat challenging early on. Once you can upgrade the magazine capacity, you’ll find you can challenge enemies with no issues, becoming a reliable gun with tight recoil control. Aim for an enemy’s head at medium range and fire off a shot to get a sense of just how much power this weapon possesses. The only downside is that it doesn’t operate too well at close range.
The SCAR requires some higher-end attachments to truly shine, which only unlock once you reach the higher gun levels. Gradually aim for increased control and stability until you get the best attachments. You can also tune the weapon by reducing ADS speeds for increased stability while on the move. This is important as you weave your body to avoid enemy fire. ADS is not all that important for the SCAR since this is effectively a long-range high-damage rifle. You’ll want to rely on your higher damage and range advantage instead of close-range ADS fights.

SVD – best sniper
The SVD is hands down the best long-range weapon in the game. It’s a fantastic marksman rifle designed for sniper players, especially Recon Operators. It features meaty rounds that can compete with mid-range assault rifles and then some. Landing a headshot at medium to long range can also seriously threaten snipers or other players looking to push up. Aim to get attachments that add control and accuracy alongside the 20-round mag. These will make the weapon more impactful, especially when you need 4-5 shots to kill enemies 100-200 meters away.
