Battlefield Hardline sees Visceral, creators of the Dead Space series, take over developmental reins. Visceral looks to bring a different spin on the franchise, creating a cops-and-robbers entry with a TV-style aesthetic. The single player is presented like a cop show, each chapter ending with a credits roll, and quitting the game will lead to a “Next Time On…” trailer, returning to the game also gives a “Previously On…” montage.
Multiplayer looks to bring faster action to the series, getting players to the fight sooner with more condensed maps. Five new game modes have been brought to the game: Hotwire, Heist, Blood Money, Crosshair and Rescue, the latter two much smaller, five-on-five contests where each round can last just a couple of minutes each.
To help those picking up the game, we’ve put together some guides to help you in the field. For those new to the series, we’ve got a beginner’s guide to multiplayer, and for completionist, there’s the Trophy and Achievement guides to enjoy.
