Where to find a Snitch and get Snitch Scanners in Arc Raiders

As part of The Trifecta quest, Shani asks you to track down various Arc enemy types and salvage their components. Among them is the Snitch, one of the more elusive enemies found in Arc Raiders. You won’t just need to kill two of them; you’ll also need to loot two Snitch Scanners. 

This is one of the more frustrating early-game quest objectives. Snitches aren’t as abundant as Hornets and Waps, especially on the starting Dam Battlegrounds map. We’ll walk you through where to find a Snitch and get Snitch Scanners in Arc Raiders.

Where to find Snitches in Arc Raiders

The Snitch is an unarmed flying reconnaissance drone that hovers high in the sky, emitting a blue scanner beam with a large vision cone. They aren’t to be confused with Spotters, which are roughly the same size but have a longer body. Attack a Snitch or get detected, and the scanner beam will turn orange, then red, at which point the Snitch will summon reinforcements: an air strike, then two wasps and a hornet.

On Dam Battlegrounds, the best place to find Snitches is at Testing Annex in the southeast of the map. They tend to spawn between the Red Lakes Balcony Lift and the Red Lakes Hatch. Make your way over to the Testing Annex and climb up to the roof on the southeast side of the building. I’ve seen up to four Snitches spawn in the area, one after another.

The roof won’t just give you a good vantage point to spot the robots, but you can lure them over so that when they go down, they land on the roof, making it easier to loot them. Another benefit is that there’s only one path up, so you can easily monitor for other players.

How to destroy a Snitch in Arc Raiders

To take down a Snitch, I recommend using a weapon with strong Arc Armor Penetration, like the Anvil or the Ferro. Wait on the roof, and when you spot a Snitch, pummel them with a shot. It doesn’t matter if you hit them or not; the idea is to alert them to lure them over to the roof.

As they approach, alternate between taking shots and taking cover to remain undetected for as long as possible (you don’t want the robot to call in an airstrike and reinforcements). You’ll want to aim shots at the white plating on their bodies; two to three shots should take them down.

How to get Snitch Scanners in Arc Raiders

To get Snitch Scanners, you’ll need to destroy and loot Snitches. Every destroyed Snitch is guaranteed to drop one Snitch Scanner. With a bit of luck, one visit to the Testing Annex should be enough to pick up the two Snitch Scanners needed for The Trifecta quest. Conveniently, you can quickly extract at the Red Lakes Lift just north of Testing Annex.
