To complete the What Goes Around quest, Apollo asks you to destroy any ARC enemy using a Fireball Burner. Easy enough, right? Except that Fireball Burners in Arc Raiders can’t be crafted back in the safety of your workshop in Speranza.
Instead, they are obtained on raids from one specific type of enemy: Fireballs, rolling dispensers of health-sapping fire, as the name implies. Aside from being part of several quest objectives, you also need eight of them to level up to Refiner II. We’ll walk you through where to find them and how to get Fireball Burners in Arc Raiders.
- Fireball Burners are obtained as loot from destroyed Fireball ARC enemy types.
- Fireball Burners can’t be crafted or bought in Speranza.
- You’ll need to kill one ARC enemy to complete the objective for the What Goes Around quest.
Where to find Fireball Burners in Arc Raiders
To get Fireball Burners in Arc Raiders, you’ll need to destroy and loot Fireballs. These are ground-based, ball-shaped robots that lurk in the hallways and corridors of building interiors on all maps, spewing fire at any raider reckless enough to get too close.

On the starting Dam Battlegrounds map, you’ll come across Fireballs in the interior portions of the following areas:
- Primary Facility
- Control Tower
- Research & Administration
- Testing Annex
Personally, I’ve had better luck with the lower section corridors of the Primary Facility, where Fireballs have spawned every time I’ve visited.
Destroy a Fireball by any way you see fit (grenades, guns, pickaxe), then search the carcass to find a Fireball Burner. Though not guaranteed, most destroyed Fireballs will drop at least one, though occasionally you’ll come across a broken dud Fireball Burner, which isn’t good for much else other than recycling.

Note that Fireball Burners are marked as green recyclable items, but there’s no mention that they can be used as fire grenades, which can be somewhat confusing. Regardless, you can slot them into a Quick Use slot, then equip them via the radial bar (Q on PC) to throw them like grenades.
How to complete the What Goes Around quest

To complete What Goes Around, you’ll need to destroy an ARC enemy using a Fireball Burner. While you could chuck it at a flying enemy like a Wasp or Hornet, the quickest way is to target a ground enemy like a Pop, Fireball, or Tick.
I recommend sinking a few bullets into your target before throwing the Fire Burner to ensure a clean and guaranteed kill, especially on larger ARC enemies. If done correctly, you’ll receive an on-screen pop-up confirming that you’ve completed the objective. You can then head back to Apollo to claim your reward: Cans backpack attachment cosmetic, three Blaze Grenades, and two Noisemakers.
