What is WoW Legion Remix 2025?

WoW Legion Remix is a limited-run event that allows you to play through the beloved WoW Legion expansion, collecting special rewards alongside a welcome hit of nostalgia. 

You’ll choose one of WoW Legion’s 12 original classes and play through the entire expansion at an accelerated rate. You’ll zoom from level 10 to level 80, facing challenges and hoovering up some gorgeous cosmetics, including mounts, pets, and plenty of new transmog options. 

How does WoW Legion Remix 2025 work? 

It’s mercifully easy to take part in WoW Legion Remix 2025. Simply install the modern World of Warcraft client through the Blizzard launcher and, so long as you’ve an active WoW subscription, you can join in the fun. 

This means that WoW Classic players can also get in on the action, though they will need to install the modern WoW client for their troubles. 

You’ll then be able to create a special character for the event, known as a Timerunner. Later on, you can transfer your Timerunner from the WoW Legion Remix event to modern-day World of Warcraft once you’ve earned enough rewards to satisfy your lust for gold and shiny objects. However, this is a one-way process. Once your Timerunner emerges in WoW The War Within, they cannot return to Legion. 

WoW Legion Remix 2025 phases and duration

With the WoW Legion Remix release date on October 7 now firmly behind us, you can throw yourself into the event with joyful abandon. 

The event promises access to all 12 dungeons from the expansion as well as the mega-dungeon, five raids, all of the Legion campaign quests, World Quests, Class Order Hall campaigns, and Artifact questlines—to name but some of the content on offer. 

However, Blizzard Entertainment plans to stagger access to content in WoW Legion Remix to mirror the WoW Legion patch cycle that players saw back in the day.  

Players can already access Remixed Artifact Weapons and Class Order Halls. For the uninitiated, these are self-contained campaigns where players unlock iconic weapons from Warcraft’s past, honing these relics by working alongside dedicated factions aligned to the player’s class of choice. They’re well worth checking out for fans of WoW lore and excessively large weapons.   

You can also access the Heroic World Tier—a sort of ‘hard mode’ for outdoor exploration, Timewarped Obelisks (which give powerful buffs as you explore the world), and Timeworn Keystone Dungeons, as well as plenty of new and legacy rewards.

Caches of Infinite Power give you access to Bronze, WoW Legion Remix’s major rewards currency, as well as Artifactium Sand for powering up your Artifact Weapon, a piece of epic gear scaled above your current average item level, and a range of buff-granting items.
