I never got round to playing Brothers on old-gen, despite owning it on 360 and PS3. I know, I’m an awful person, but thanks to the remaster on PS4 and Xbox One, I’ve now completed it. It’s a lovely game, one that I can’t really compare to anything else I’ve ever played. I don’t love it quite as much as some people seem to, but it’s a touching story and a clever idea. If you’re yet to play it, the PS4 version is a good shout even though it’s a tad expensive for my liking. Perhaps wait for the inevitable sale price.
Oh, and PES 2016 Demo, which is excellent and may finally push me back to PES.

Well, what did I tell you? The PES demo is finally in the hands of the scum, and even they think that it is utterly brilliant. I’ve been playing it since the second it arrived and I can say with certainty that there’s no point in other football games. This is it. This is the one. I’d say PES was back, but seeing as it’s been back for about three years now that seems rather silly.
What else? Well, there’s Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, a game about every bastard from Emmerdale and Heartbeat and Where the Heart Is getting biffed by some sort of apocalypse, and as such is naturally excellent. Then I played an upcoming stealth game which again I can’t talk about, so sorry about that. You’ll hear plenty soon though.

I’m sorry but have you seen the release schedule? From the end of this month, there’s a major new game coming out almost every week until Christmas. It’s terrifying.
But it’s also bloody exciting. I hate to say it but I’ve found myself a little bored in recent weeks. Maybe it’s because it’s been almost two months since Batman, the last major game to hit shelves. I’ve tried dipping back into a few games to keep me ticking over – Dying Light, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, even PvZ: Garden Warfare – but none of them have managed to hold my attention for all that long. Rare Replay is a fine collection, but it doesn’t get me excited in the same way as, say, a new Metal Gear Solid does.
So yes, the imminent influx of games is more than welcome. But with the sheer amount of games available, it might still be a struggle to settle on the right one.
