October is no more, but it’s been a good time to enjoy video games thanks to the likes of Dark Souls, Forza 4, Batman: Arkham City and Battlefield 3. As ever we’ve been delighted with what our members have come up on the forum and in the article comments. So after a month trolling the forums (in a good way), it’s time to see who the best flame baiter is… Only kidding. It’s time to decide who has won our Member of the Month award. Each winner will have the choice of any game (up to the value of £50) from GAME!

We’ve been running this promotion for years, with the results announced on the forums and our podcasts. Now we’ve decided to go into a little more detail, with a brief explanation of why we’ve picked the specific winners each month.

It’s important to mention that if you did not win this time around, please do not feel unappreciated; we genuinely love all your contributions to VideoGamer.com, and as fortune has it, we’ll be picking another set of winners in precisely one month’s time.

Without any further delay, here are our Members of the Month for October:

MrGloomy

Gloomy by name but not by nature. Our wannabe Mr. Man is always a great contributor to threads and gets involved in conversations. In October his thread, Gaming soundtrack of the day, caught our attention – not only because it was an entertaining thread, but also due to the effort involved in keeping it updated. Well done MrGloomy. Hopefully this will go someway to putting a smile on your face.

Dazzadavie

VideoGamer.com’s Mr. Consistent. Dazza is a regular poster all over the site and contributes on a daily basis. In October he set up threads posing incredibly deep questions, such as this one which drills right down to the very soul of humans: Invert or not to invert, that is the question. He also got First Page Glory on the General Discussion Unofficial Chat Thread Part 3.

Pblive

Pb is a VideoGamer.com super user, always getting involved in discussions and starting new threads. He’s also a bit of a bargain hunter, frequently updating the Bargain Bin thread with the latest deals. He’s also a super helpful guy to have lurking around the forums, waiting to jump out and direct newcomers to interesting threads and lend a helping hand when needed.

Congratulations once again to our winners, and warm thanks to everyone who’s contributed over the past month. If you’d like to suggest someone for MOTM, why not add your thoughts to the Member of the Month: Forum Edition thread? While we always make our own decision, we keep an eye on the chat in there.
