Welcome to Heads-up, our weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down of the games you’ll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Monday we’ll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday’s post. Time to smash open your piggy bank so you can spend its coin-shaped guts.

Recommended: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – Xbox 360, PS3, PC

You’ll have to wait for our verdict, but it’s safe to assume that Black Ops 2 is going to offer a lot of game for your money, including a host of new live broadcasting tools which could help make multiplayer excel. We’re not so confident about Vita outing Black Ops: Declassified, so stay clear of this until you’ve seen some reviews.

Worth a look

Last week saw LittleBigPlanet Karting hit stores and following in quick succession are SEGA’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and Codemasters’ F1 Race Stars. Both titles have a strong pedigree, but we’re yet to find out which is the best kart racer of 2012.
