It’s the big one. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hits stores on Tuesday and is likely to blow every other game out of the water. If you’re one of the few people who isn’t interested in CoD then gigantic RPG Skyrim might be more your cup of tea. The follow-up to Oblivion has been a long-time coming and for many will be the only game they play for the rest of 2011.

Also out this week are the PC version of LA Noire, which is worth picking up if you’ve been waiting for the superior version.

Worth a look

Two 3DS games that might be worth buying, in one week? This is unheard of. We’ve yet to play either of these, so don’t get too carried away just yet. Cave Story should be great unless the graphical update given to the 3DS release has hurt the gameplay in some way. Shinobi is more of an unknown, but the series has a lot of fans.
