Welcome to Heads-up, our weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you’ll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Monday we’ll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday’s post. Time to smash open your piggy bank so you can spend its coin-shaped guts.

Recommended: Gravity Rush – PS Vita

The PS Vita finally gets another game worth owning. Gravity Rush earned a deserved 8/10 in our review, with the third-person, gravity defying action gameplay offering something we haven’t seen before. If you’ve been waiting patiently for a reason to dust of your Vita, we recommend you get this ordered right now.

Worth a look

Two other games of note hit stores on Friday, with Square Enix’s 3DS RPG Heroes of Ruin potentially offering some decent fun in what has been a fairly lean spell for the handheld. Warner’s Lollipop Chainsaw isn’t likely to win any awards from the “Games are art” brigade, but its over the top action and ridiculous premise should gain it some fans.
