A listing for NBA Jam on Xbox 360 and PS3 has appeared on the website of video games rental firm GameFly – rental firms don’t offer digital titles.
Since the indefinite delay of NBA Elite, EA has been focussing its efforts on fleshing out the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game – they had previously been lined-up for release digitally will a trimmed down features set over the Wii edition.
EA, though, isn’t ready to formerly announce its plans for the game.
“The development team is working hard on NBA Jam on Xbox 360 and PS3 to get it finished in time for the holidays,” said an EA spokesperson. “We are not prepared to make any announcements at this time but we should have some exciting news to share very soon.”

If EA plans to release NBA Jam at retail the culled Remix Tour Mode will surely have to be present, but even then we could see the game appear in stores at a slightly lower than usual price. Even if the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions end up feature equal to the Wii version, plus online play, EA will have a hard job convincing gamers to buy a game once promised as a free download with NBA Elite 11.
